From Derby: 45 minutes
-
Hop on the A516 or the A38 south and join the A50 heading west, yes, the one that never seems to end.
-
Stay on the A50 until you reach the Meir exit (J5) onto the A520 and follow the signs towards Stone/Moddershall.
-
For those in the 21st century, pop Moddershall Oaks, ST15 8TG into your satnav, it’ll guide you through the lovely Staffordshire countryside.
-
The entrance to Moddershall comes out of nowhere and is a sharp left turn into the entrance, so slow down when you think you’re close, unless you're feeling a bit fancy and want to do a U-turn.
From Burton-on-Trent:
40 minutes
-
Take the Derby towards A38 north .
-
Then join the A50 heading west towards Stoke-on-Trent.
-
Exit at the Meir exit (J5) onto the A520 and follow signs for Stone/Moddershall — you’re on the home stretch.
 -
Or alternatively, stick ST15 8TG into your satnav — it’s the easiest way to avoid an argument before the ceremony.
-
The entrance pops up suddenly from the hedges on the left, so resist the urge to channel your inner Max Verstappen; you’ll thank us later.
💒 Into the Complex
Once you’ve entered the driveway, follow the road down to the main building.
Then turn left up the little hill and follow the road markings for “The Venue.”
The venue has plenty of parking, but it’s on a hill, so please keep your handbrakes on, we don’t want any unintended adventures before the ceremony.
Hitch a Ride (The Legal Kind)
Whether you’re staying nearby or making the trip home, we’d recommend pre-booking your journey home in advance. Moddershall Oaks is tucked away in the countryside, and spontaneous taxis are about as rare as Conner turning down a dessert.

Here you’ll find a few local firms that know the route well (and won’t need rescuing from a hedge). If you’re an Uber fan, make sure to book ahead as drivers can be limited in the area, especially late at night.
