We Say "I Do"
The moment everything changed
This was the most important moment of our lives.
After years of planning, months of anticipation and one incredibly stressful morning, everything came down to this. As Conner stood at the end of the aisle, he finally felt like he had broken. Conflicting stories say it was just a fritz of emotion, or that the Hulk had appeared, only not turned green anymore. Either way, there was nothing left to do now but wait.
And then Megan appeared.
As she made her way down the aisle, the thoughts of us both were:
Conner: Is that Megan?
Megan: I think he's wearing white... but I can't really see.
And finally, she reached the end.
Everything suddenly became calm. In that moment, it felt like the rest of the world stopped. The nerves disappeared, the stress no longer mattered and all that mattered was that we were there, together.
This was the moment we had spent years waiting for.
This was the moment we finally said "I do."
Behind the scenes
Megan's memory
Although the whole morning was everything I had dreamt of... behind those cabins before the walk, I was stressing.
The only thing that could get me ready to walk down the aisle was a final big hug from Dave as Miss Reavill.
Oh, and trying to keep up with Dad as he walked down the aisle.
Conner's memory
As everyone got themselves seated, I walked towards the aisle and suddenly realised I was going to wee myself.
Not "Oh, I need a wee."
More like "I am going to wee."
After darting into the disabled toilet, I successfully avoided a leakage issue. However, in my panic, knowing everyone was seated and I had to be at the end of the aisle, I spent what felt like 30 minutes trying to pull the door open, convinced I'd somehow locked myself in.
However, I was just forgetting to pull the handle.
